Let’s Boogie Down The Aisle, Baby!

wedding shoes

During the weekend, Chris posted a clip on JK’s (Jill and Kevin’s) Wedding Entrance Dance on her blog. In the video, the couple and their extremely fun wedding party boogied their way down the aisle. It’s absolutely fantabulous I tell you. I think I’ve watched it a dozen times already (thanks, Chris!). Watching it somehow sends feel-good vibes all through me.

This is totally how I want to walk down the aisle. I’m gonna download this to my iTouch and show it to The Folks next week. I wonder what their reaction would be. Hmmm…

They were such a hit that the Today Show invited them to perform in front of everyone once again.

Ok, I’m gonna watch it just one last time, for now (at least).

To Pack, Or Not To Pack?

Dilemmmas

Packing for a trip can be the most stressful part for a person. Well, for me at least. Right now, I’m fighting the urge to ship half of my closet to the hotel to avoid trying to fit everything I’ll need for FOUR days into one suitcase. And being the paranoid maniac that I am, I always have a sneaking suspicion that I have forgotten something the moment I head out the door.

I always tell myself that I must pack light. And I would continuously tell myself that while rummaging through the store room for my luggage bag. The moment I zip open my bag, open my wardrobe and start choosing what I want to bring, I completely forget the objective of packing light. I am absolutely amazed at a girlfriend of mine who can fit every single thing into one carry-on bag whether it is for a week-long trip, let alone a month-long or year-long journey! Yes, very amazing.

So after 2  hours of mixing and pairing up what I want to wear, having spares (just in case), I’m all packed and ready to go, go, go.

Now all I need to do is decide which ONE pair of shoes to bring which can match whatever I’m gonna wear.

Have a good weekend everyone, I know I certainly will.

Oh, Happy Happy, Joy Joy

It’s gonna be 3 fantastic weekends, starting with this weekend!

I’m gonna be spending the weekend in KL with the two of my favouritest people in the world: The Boy and The Best Friend.

Next weekend in Bangkok where The Boy and I will be shopping, eating and pampering ourselves till we drop.

And spending quality family time the following weekend by taking a road trip to Cameron Highlands with The Folks and The Boy.

Told you it’s gonna be 3 great weekends!

Do You Need Glasses?

Some people seriously need to get their eyes checked, especially the following 3 people:

The Man at Cold Storage

I was waiting in line to pay for my tub of Andersen’s Belgian Chocolate Chip ice-cream in Cold Storage. Behind me was a man holding a bottle of Pokka green tea, a loaf of Gardenia wholemeal bread, a Snickers bar and a packet of paper towels. So there he was trying to balance all that items, thinking that he didn’t need a basket. He struggled to get his wallet out, and in the process dropped one of his credit cards on the floor. And I, being thoughtful, pointed out to him that he had dropped his credit card. He placed his items on the counter, and picked up his card. I smiled at him and when I was about to turn my back and walk out of the supermarket, he said, “Thank you Ma’am”.  I looked at him and couldn’t believe my ears that he had called me Ma’am. If looks could kill, he would have a dagger stuck between his eyes. I obviously look like a ‘Miss’ and definitely not a ‘Ma’am’. The man seriously needs to get his eyes checked.

The Purple Princess’ New Boy That She Likes

The Purple Princess is back home for 2 weeks. She called me yesterday to tell me that she’s in Orchard and was wondering whether I would be free to meet up for a while, and also because she wanted  to introduce me to this new guy that she likes. Since I haven’t seen her since Christmas, I decided to go see her for a bit. It was great seeing her after so long. She introduced me to her friend and he was so shy to even shake my hand. We walked around a bit while she went on and on telling me all her stories, trying to talk as fast as she possibly could so that we don’t waste much time. Her friend walked behind us the whole time and except for the very faint ‘hello’ that he said to me. I figured that the two of them wanted to spend time with each other, so about half an hour and a dozen stories later, I said to her that I had to go meet the Small Fry and told her to enjoy the rest of her date. I gave her a hug and teased her how shy he was. She laughed and said to me that the only reason why he’s so quiet is because he thought that I was her Auntie. Can you believe that, her Auntie! Not Cousin but Auntie!  That boy seriously needs glasses!

The Hairdresser

My hair was getting a lil messy and out of shape so I decided to get my hair trimmed and get my hair treated since the edges seem to look rather dry. So after sitting there flipping magazines for about an hour or so, as my hairdresser was blowing my hair and curling my curls, and without fail he asks me the same question each and every time I see him, “You got Chinese is it?” And politely I would always smile and answer him, “Yes, but half only. My Mom is Chinese.”  And each time he would also answer, “Ohh…ok ok.” When it comes to the people who hold a pair of scissors and have the power of giving you a permanent bad hair day every day, it is always best to be nice and polite to them. But this time round after I told that I was only half Chinese I think he didn’t hear me properly or perhaps selectively didn’t want to hear what I had to say, he said to me, “Look Korean hor”. I almost burst out laughing, and was trying my best to hold my giggles in (and my pee too!). I love kimchi and all but seriously, I don’t look a pinch Korean. The guy seriously, seriously, seriously needs to watch more Korean drama serials and without a doubt need to get his eyes checked or the power of his contact lenses increased.
